Five-Step System

Five-Step System and Integrated Pest Management Solutions

The IBS Commercial Five-Step System is a unique approach to cockroach control. Our plan incorporates five steps:

STEP 1

Immediate physical removal of as many Pests as possible. This rapidly reduces the current population in your facility, resulting in an immediate and noticeable reduction in activity.

STEP 2

Treatment of voids where Pests commonly live. Insiders are installed in wall and cabinet voids, and other places that might need periodic re-treatment. Treatment of such voids is often the key to total elimination of German cockroach infestations.

STEP 3

Application of bait insecticides (1) helps control the Pests that escape other control efforts, and (2) helps control new Pests as they appear.

STEP 4

Treatment of cracks that are known or suspected harborages. The application of residual dust insecticides into harborages helps to eliminate cockroaches not controlled by the first two steps.

STEP 5

Introduction of an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) into the environment for long-term control in the event of a re-infestation.

Termite Control

No Business Is Safe From Termites

Termites are extremely well organized and can find a way inside any structure. That's why IBS offers advanced treatment methods for termite control and can even help protect condominiums and multi-family units. Regardless of how your building is constructed or the type of foundation it has, termites can find a way in, concealing themselves by building special "shelter tubes." Because they work from the inside out, it's likely that you won't see signs of infestation until the damage is done.

Subterranean Solutions

As their name implies, subterranean termites live in the soil. IBS takes many factors into consideration when designing a plan for your business against these termites. Construction style, design, foundation material and exterior finish all determine the best choice of treatment. IBS offers two advanced technologies against subterranean termites.

IBS Termite Baiting Program

Baiting stations are strategically installed around your property. But unlike traditional baiting systems, our bait goes into the ground immediately. Protection from destructive termites begins right away.

IBS Liquid Defend System SM

To help protect businesses from subterranean termites, a treatment zone is created at key entry points around and through your foundation. As termites tunnel through treatment zones, they are exposed to a termiticide which is spread to other termites through physical contact, reducing the population of the colony.

In most cases, the IBS Termite Baiting Program can be installed directly into the soil. Buildings that are surrounded by concrete or asphalt require a special method. Using a coring technique, we drill through the concrete or asphalt to reach the soil below. Then, we install the baiting tubes and conceal them with metal covers. The covers are locked into place to protect against weather and tampering. The entire procedure can be performed quickly and cleanly without disrupting your business or damaging your structure.

Drywood Termites

Unlike subterranean termites, drywood termites do not need to maintain contact with the ground for moisture. As a result, they require a completely different treatment. Tent fumigation is the most effective option to combat an infestation. This method involves a thoroughly tested, carefully controlled means of dispersing specialized fumigant throughout an infested structure. The fumigant penetrates all structural wood timbers, trim, finished wood and furniture, and hard-to-treat walls and studs.

The IBS Drywood Termite Protection Plan ensures that if drywood termites come back—so will we.

Commodity Fumigation

Dried food products and the raw ingredients from which they are made are subject to attack from stored product insects. IBS Commercial provides commodity fumigation services to protect your valuable products and raw grains.Fumigation is a complicated procedure requiring well-trained professionals and a staff of technical specialists who are available to assist in analyzing and completing unique or difficult fumigations.
IBS Commercial provides fumigation for:

  1.   Truck trailers
  2.   Boxcars and hopper cars
  3.   Shipping containers
  4.   Pallets (tarp & seal)
  5.   Food processing facilities and warehouses

A total service for successful commodity fumigation includes calculating, dispensing and regulating the compliance of the appropriate amount of fumigant.

Drain Service

IBS Commercial also offers drain service. Generally, this service is included with fly control, when your Terminix service professional may recommend liquid drain applications to control the breeding and growth of drain flies.
